ABOUT

ME

Passionate. Honest. Determined

"Attitude is the “little” thing that makes the big difference. The story of life proves that it is often the minute things that spell the differences between triumph and tragedy, success and failure, victory or defeat. For example, if you call a girl a kitten, she will love you. Call her a cat and you’re in trouble."

ABOUT ME

Cynthia Whittaker

I am honoring my path and walking upright in my life's mission as a Certified Credentialed Life Coach. Also, I am the owner and founder of Honor Your Path Coaching and I teach amazing and ambitious women to navigate the natural ebbs and flows of life by shedding the strong woman narrative and embodying resiliency as she embraces her authentic SELF. By focusing on what is possible in the present and letting go of the past. Co-creating a mindset that fuels you authentically to create healthy relationships, overcome obstacles, and put you first. My goal is to help you figure out what you want, say no to anything that isn't it, let go of what no longer serves you, and find unapologetic joy. True happiness comes from being true to yourself and aligning the mind, body, and spirit that will lead you to a life of healing, fulfillment, wholeness, and joy.

I am dedicated to serving women who have decided to take up space as their authentic and perfectly imperfect selves; committed to learning how to love herself more through mindfulness and self-care practices and become more self-aware every day. Truth is, you can have peace, and happiness, and be open to the serenity of life no matter what is happening around you when you create the space for it in principle and with intent.

Has life ever become too real for you?  Take it from me, it happens and when it does hold on tight.  Life got real for me four months, two weeks and one day after my first wedding in 1992. My world changed in the blink of an eye; my mother died.  I was now a motherless only child. Everything I knew about life changed in an instant.  This was my first experience with transition and boy it was a doozy.  What I quickly realized is that life does and will happen; and as it does we must respond. How I responded was the difference between shattered pieces of my life and a whole life of serenity. Beginning each day with gratitude, asserting my faith, realizing who I am, and letting go of fear became a daily habit for healing and self-evolution!

Insightful, passionate, and honest are just a few of the attributes that I inherited from my mom.  Walking in the path that my mom carved out for me has led me to become a bridge builder and purpose promoter.  Implementing the qualities of intuition and instinct, I am dedicated to the work of assisting women with regards to self-actualization, self-awareness, balance, mindfulness, and purpose discovery.  The desire and calling to walk alongside those who endeavor to fulfill their purpose has led me to coaching.

I have spent the past nine years establishing, cultivating, investing in, and polishing my craft as a Life Coach.  Serving as a Life Coach does not adhere to a “one size” fit all methodology.  I submit that coaching should be based on enabling and equipping people to live their best life, as opposed to training them.  I call the coaching methodology I offer change facilitation.  This methodology involves getting to the core of discovery, awareness and choices in diverse perspectives.  What I have learned is that circumstances activate thoughts; thoughts trigger feelings; and feelings prompt actions.

Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland I am a proud graduate of the oldest all-girl, public high school in the country, Western High School.  I received my undergraduate degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Strayer University in 2007.  In addition, I am respectfully certified from The Coach Training Academy and credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF).  I am most proud to be a mom of a beautiful adult daughter, in a loving relationship, and loyal Sistah-friend to a network of special women who challenge my fears, supports my dreams and ultimately allow me to HONOR MY PATH.

What Is Coaching
What Is Coaching?

Coaching is a transformative process where we work together one-on-one to explore your limiting beliefs, practices, and mindset. Together we use strategy to move you from where you are to where you want to be, to the place where you are fulfilled and boldly living your best life with unapologetic joy. The intention is to provide you with tools and strategies to move you forward from the generational and societal agreements that has led many women to accept and often embrace false narratives that no longer serve us.

Life coaching is a powerful solution that can help you identify barriers keeping you stuck, create action plans to accomplish goals, and reach you fullest potential but it is not a miracle fix. It is a more direct approach that uses empathy and compassion.

Coaching is not therapy, but it does offer tangible solutions, a-ha moments, breakthroughs, and accountability to put a plan in action to live a life you love. Truth is, we all need a little help sometimes, when it comes to journeys of self-awareness and self-discovery. A life coach is someone who can help you identify strengths and weaknesses and overcome obstacles holding you back.

Life coaching bridges the gap from where you are right now to where you desire to be and assisting you with finding “your why” and pinpointing any resistance to change.

You should know that life coaching does not provide advice, but we do expand your perspective to facilitate your own process of connecting to your inner wisdom and making choices about your actions and next steps.
