Cold Case - Season 3

The first two seasons of Cold Case achieved ratings highs in their respective Saturday night slots for Wowow. The success of the Cold Case remake is credited with helping to usher in a trend of Japanese networks remaking American TV drama series such as Suits, The Good Wife and a 24 remake that is planned for production later in 2020.

In Season 3 of the Japanese version, the solidarity of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Investigation Division 1, led by Yuri Ishikawa (played by Yo Yoshida), is put to test as they reveal the truth behind several cases buried in the darkness. The season also reveals stories of the individual characters that have not been told before.

The cold case of Season 4 hits close to home, or the office, you could say. As Cassie (Nicola Walker) and Sunny (Sanjeev Bhaskar) investigate a cold case with alarming links to the police force, a corpse is discovered in a scrap yard, his features frozen in time. Four suspects emerge. All four have links to the law and attended the same police training course back in 1989. Since then their lives have gone in very different directions. Some have thrived and others have faltered. But exactly who is fighting for justice? Can the police force ever really be trusted? And will Cassie and Sunny find themselves on the wrong side of the law?

Cold Justice caught the story and looked for new leads to help bring justice to Holbert's family. The TV show has its own investigators. The Dunlap Police Department was hoping they might be able to find new information to help detectives solve the case.

When you're working on cold cases, it helps to have a loyal partner. Someone who sticks around as long as it takes to wrap the case. On Cold Case, Lilly Rush wouldn't find that perfect fit until her second try.

The Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Correction and law enforcement agencies statewide have created a Cold Case playing card deck highlighting 52 unsolved homicides, missing persons, and unidentified remains cases that have occurred throughout the state. These cards are being distributed in an effort to generate information and leads in solving these cold cases. Every tip has the potential of bringing law enforcement one step closer to obtaining justice for victims and a sense of closure for their surviving family members.

Police investigating a string of cold-case slayings identified their prime suspect after obtaining DNA from his toothbrush late last month, but investigators should have had a sample from him eight years earlier and before the last killing.

Boulder Deputy Police Chief Dave Hayes, one of the first detectives to investigate the case, said Smika may have become assimilated into a community and he hopes new coverage of the case will lead a neighbor or a relative to step forward.

Season 4: When Rhoda Nathan's lifeless body was discovered in her hotel room, it was assumed she'd had a heart attack. The autopsy proved otherwise: Nathan, 67, had been viciously beaten to death, punched so hard by her assailant that two of her teeth had been knocked out. Days later, a hotel employee went to the hospital to be treated for an infection in his hand, which was teeming with a bacteria most often found in human mouths. That, plus a pendant an officer said was discovered in the trunk of his car, sealed the fate of Elwood Jones, who awaits execution on Ohio's death row. For nearly 30 years, Jones has maintained his innocence -- and accused police of straight-up framing him. The journalists of Accused are reexamining the case to learn if Jones truly belongs on death row, or if a botched investigation let someone else get away with murder.

Season 1: When Elizabeth Andes was found murdered in her Ohio apartment in 1978, police and prosecutors decided within hours it was an open-and-shut case. Two juries disagreed. The Cincinnati Enquirer investigates: Was the right guy charged, or did a killer walk free? 041b061a72
